White Bean Stew


This Caucasian dish is really famous. That is why there are many variations of the same recipe. 

This recipe reminds of the classical vegetable stew. It`s healthy and easy to cook. White beans in the red tomato sauce looks like the perfect decoration of the table. All your family will like it.

  1. Prepare beans, leaving in hot water for the whole night. They will swell up. In the morning wash them and put in the pan with clean water again. Put it on the oven and boil for 1-1,5 hours. Add salt at the end of cooking. Add more water while cooking if needed.
  2. Peel and wash carrot. Grate it.
  3. Put the frying pan on the oven and fry the carrot.
  4. When it`s golden-yellow, add white beans and mix everything well.
  5. The next step is adding spices, adjika and water into the stew. Mix it again and cover.
  6. Stew it until it`s finally ready. Add chopped greens to make the stew brighter.

White bean stew may be served with porridge, potato or pasta. This healthy dish is liked by both adults and kids.
