Very Tasty Chops with Minced Meat And Bulgur


Today I want to share with you Turkish recipe of delicious chops made of bulgur and minced meat. This Eastern dish will amuse you. Delicious chops may be eaten as a snack. The main task is to decorate them before serving with sliced vegetables or herbs. By the way, this snack tastes great in combination with creamy garlic sauce. This dish is served this way in Eastern countries. So, let`s get down to work.

  1. Start cooking the stuffing. Chop onion.
  2. Put frying pan on the oven and put butter into it.
  3. When butter starts melting, add chopped onion. Fry it, stirring constantly until it`s golden yellow.
  4. Then add minced meat, salt and black pepper to your taste. Fry it until there is no liquid in the pan.
  5. Take the pan out of the oven.
  6. Wash parsley and chop it. Add into the pan and mix with the rest of ingredients.
  7. Grind walnuts and add them into the pan as well. Fry all these ingredients for several minutes. Then take the pan out of the tray again.
  8. Now let`s cook quick dough made of bulgur and minced meat.
  9. Grate onion or mash it, using blender.
  10. Whip eggs and add tomato sauce.
  11. Add flour into the bowl.
  12. Then add spicy sauce.
  13. Add bulgur and salt this mass. Mix all these ingredients, using your hands. If you need, add water.
  14. Bulgur absorbs water very quickly. So, do not be in a hurry. Try to make soft and sticky dough.
  15. Then you need to add minced meat and mix everything one more time.
  16. Divide this dough into several equal balls and start forming chops.
  17. Take one ball and form a hole in the middle of it. Your hands must be wet all the time. In this case, it will be easier for you to work with the dough.
  18. Fill this hole with 2 teaspoons of stuffing.
  19. Cover this hole with another portion of the dough and form nice chops. They must look like a lemon. Put these chops on the tray.
  20. When chops are ready, put them into the fridge for 15 minutes for the chops not to fall apart while cooking.
  21. Put frying pan on the oven and add olive oil. When it`s hot, start frying chops from both sides. They should have nice golden-brown color. Take chops out of the pan and put on the paper towel in order to get rid of extra oil.
  22. Put chops in the plate and serve them.
