Instructions:
  1. Strain canned chickpeas and add it into the bowl of the blender. Add garlic, lemon juice, thyme, parsley, salt, pepper. Mix everything well.
  2. Form small balls and put them into the tray, covered with baking paper. Cover these balls with olive oil and bake them in the oven preheated to 392 F. Cook this dish for 30 minutes.
  3. Peel onion and slice it. Fry it in the pan with the small amount of oil. Add bay leaves, spices and pepper. Mash bread and add it to the onion. In several minutes you need to add the sauce and peeled tomatoes into the pot. Add salt and cover the pan with the lid. Stew everything for 30 minutes. If there is not enough liquid, add more water while cooking.
  4. When this yummy sauce is ready, strain it and get rid of leaves and pepper.
  5. Cover chickpea balls with this fragrant sauce and dust with fresh chopped dill.
