Tender Homemade Hummus

Ingredients for
Dry chickpeas
1 cup
Olive oil

Lemon juice

  1. Leave dry chickpeas in a bowl of water overnight. Keep in mind that the chickpeas will grow in size. So, the bowl should be very big.
  2. The next morning, strain the water and wash the chickpeas. Boil this ingredient in the pan with two litres of water.
  3. Cook it for 30-90 minutes until the peas are soft enough.
  4. Then you’ll need to strain the water. Leave the chickpeas for 10 minutes to cool down.
  5. Fill the blender with all the ingredients you’re going to use: boiled chickpeas, lemon juice, oil and spices. Add several spoons of water so that the mass is not too thick.

You’re done. Fill a jar with the hummus. You can put it into the jar and leave it in the fridge or serve immediately. Fresh homemade hummus tastes great with bruschetta or sliced vegetables. Enjoy this simple Eastern snack!
