Tender French Eclairs. Simple Recipe with Tender Cream
This yummy French dessert will amuse your child!
The recipe was invented in the 19th century. However, they are still very popular. Likewise all the popular desserts, eclairs were “improved” by many cooks. In the USA there is a tender cupcake “long john”, reminding French delicacy.
Today we`ll look at one of the simplest recipes.
Total calories in the prepared dish
Take a pan and mix milk with water in it. Heat this liquid.
Add butter. It shouldn`t be melted. Add a pinch of salt and one tablespoon of sugar. If you want your dessert to be fragrant, add vanilla to taste.
Continue heating milk mass until butter melts. Mix everything, using a wooden spoon.
When this mass starts boiling, add dry ingredients. You should mix the flour with baking powder and sift everything through the sieve beforehand. Boil your dough.
Take the pan of the fire and mix the dough until smooth. Do not worry, if there are still lumps in the dough. They won` t spoil the taste of your dessert.
Add eggs one by one, mixing the dough constantly.
Preheat the oven to 430 F. Cover the tray with the olive oil. You may also use silicone rug or baking paper instead.
Form cakes. Keep in mind that they`ll grow in size when baked.
Put the tray into the oven and bake eclairs for 20 minutes. Do not open the door of the oven while cooking. In this case, they will really be airy and tender.
Leave your dessert to cool down and fill each éclair with your favorite cream. You may use custard or simply mix condensed milk with butter.
Decorate the top of each cake with melted chocolate. Bon Appetite!
