Strawberry Salad with Pretzel

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  2. Crush pretzel cookies and mix them with melted butter. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix everything one more time.
  3. Grease baking pan with the leftovers of butter. Add this mass into it and make even layer of crust.
  4. Bake it for about 8-10 minutes. When this layer is ready, leave it to cool down.
  5. In the meantime, prepare the second layer. Mix cream cheese with the rest of sugar. This mass should be smooth.
  6. Cover the crust with this tender mass. The layer should be even.
  7. Add strawberry jelly to the large pan. Pour in boiled water. Mix it until jelly dissolves. If you use frozen berries add them into the pan at this step. If you use fresh berries, add them when water cools down.
  8. Pour cold liquid with berries over the cake. Transfer the pan with this salad to the fridge and leave it to cool down completely for 3-6 hours.

When the dish is already set, you can serve it. It tastes great both with desserts and salty salads. So, no matter what you`re going to cook for your party, you can eat it with this Pretzel salad.
