Stewed beef with pumpkin

This nutritious dish with meat and vegetables will make your ration more diverse and healthy. Tender beef with onion is one of the best dishes, each housewife should know. All the ingredients are rather cheap, so everyone may cook this dish for lunch.

Instructions:
  1. Cut beef into big pieces. Fat beef tastes better, however diet meat isn`t bad too. Wash beef and put these pieces into the pan.
  2. Cut onion into circles. My granny recommended me to cut along the onion, not across it. In this case, onion will be much tastier.
  3. Add vegetable oil and onion into the pan and fry it together with meat for about 5 minutes. This will give your dish nice colour. Then you need to add 1 l. of water into the pan and continue stewing everything until beef is ready.
  4. Then you need to add pumpkin, cut into cubes. I recommend you to hide it under the layer of meat and broth. Add salt and spices.
  5. Cover the pan with the lid and stew meat for 7-10 minutes.
This dish tastes great with any garnish you choose.
