Sourdough Bread. Simple Dish for the Whole Family!


Cooking homemade bread is a difficult work. It may take 5-8 hours. Still, the result is always worth it! Today we`ll share with you the recipe for a quick bread, you may easily cook for your family. This white bread can be used for cooking various sandwiches or eaten with soups.

  1. Fill the pot with the water and sugar. Heat this liquid slowly. It should be warm, not hot. Pour this water into the bowl and add more sugar. Mix everything slowly until sugar melts. Then you may slowly add dry yeast into the bowl. Whip everything with the whisk and leave for 10 minutes in the warm place.
  2. In ten minutes sift 1 cup of the flour through the sieve. Add 2-3 spoons of the soft butter. Knead the dough carefully, slowly adding the rest of the flour. It should be soft, tender and a little sticky.
  3. Wet your hands in the small amount of the vegetable oil. Cover the deep bowl with the oil as well. Put the dough into it and cover the bowl with the plastic wrap and a towel. Put this bowl into the warm place and leave for 40 minutes.
  4. Now you may get down to forming the bread. Get rid of the plastic wrap and knead the dough one more time. It should still be very tender. Divide the dough in two parts. Form two long loafs.
  5. Put them into 2 forms, covered with the vegetable oil. Leave the loafs for 40 minutes again. If the dough is made of the qualitative ingredients, it will grow in size.
  6. Now you may put the forms into the preheated oven. Bake the dough for 35-40 minutes. There should be a crunchy crust on the top of the loaf.
  7. If the dough isn`t ready yet, leave the bread in the oven for 10-15 minutes. This dish should definitely be served warm or cold. Hot bread will do your organism nothing good. Use this homemade bread recipe to impress all the members of your family!

And here are several advices for you:

  •         For the dish to be tastier, dust the raw bread with the cheese and sesame seeds;
  •         To make sourdough bread really perfect, leave dry yeast in the fridge for 24 hours before cooking;
  •         You may replace butter with the vegetable oil while cooking homemade bread;
  •         As for the water, you may replace it with the cream or milk.
