  1. Choose a big piece of meat without any fat. Cut it into big pieces and put into the deep pan. Add water, pepper, salt and bay leaves. Boil everything until ready.
  2. Then you need to take it out of the pan and leave to cool down. Mash this meat, using a meat grinder or food processor.
  3. Fry it on the pan, filled with the vegetable oil.
  4. Chop onion and add it into the pan with meat. Add more spices. I prefer to use khmeli-sunelli.
  5. Mix everything well while cooking for it not to burn. I also recommend you to pour several spoons of bouillon into the pan while cooking. Cook everything until meat is juicy enough.
  6. Then fill the bowl with fried minced meat.
  7. If there are leftovers of the meat, you may freeze them.
  8. Take another bowl and fill it with 3 cups of wheat flour.
  9. Add an egg and a pinch of salt.
  10. For the mass to be tender, add sour cream.
  11. Melt butter in the microwave oven or simply leave it in the warm place and wait until butter is soft.
  12. Mix 0.5 tsp of baking soda with a half of a teaspoon of vinegar. Add this mass into the bowl with dry ingredients.
  13. Make a soft dough.
  14. Put it on the plate and cover it with the plastic wrap or a bowl. Leave it for a half an hour.
  15. Preheat the oven to 425 F. Cover the tray with the tinfoil and sprinkle with the olive oil.
  16. Flatten the dough and form small circles, using a glass.
  17. Fill each circle with the meat and form cute little pies.
  18. Put pies on the tray.
  19. Cover each pie with the whipped egg.
  20. Cook them in the oven for 20 minutes.

Take your yummy pies out of the oven and enjoy the taste!

If you want the taste of the pies to be richer, add dry fruits: prunes or dry apricots.
