Roll with Strawberry Cream


Sweet and fragrant roll with strawberry cream can be an amazing dessert . The greatest thing about this dessert is that you may replace strawberry with any other berry or fruit. It`s quick to cook and that is also a plus. Use my universal recipe and cook delicacy to your taste.
It consists of soft sponge cake, cream cheese and mashed strawberries. Nevertheless, if you can`t find these ingredients, you may change the recipe. You may also use frozen berries or fruits. That won`t spoil the taste of this roll.

  1. Start making the dough. Whip eggs with sugar until the mass is light.
  2. Sift the flour, cornstarch and vanilla through the sieve. Mix everything using mixer.
  3. The dough won`t be too thick.
  4. Pour the dough into the form and put into the preheated oven. Bake it at 356 degrees for 10-15 minutes. I also recommend covering the form with baking paper.
  5. When the sponge cake is ready, take it out of the form. Turn it over and put on the wet towel. Get rid of baking paper.
  6. Roll the sponge cake together with the towel. Leave it to cool down.
  7. Meanwhile you may cook cream. I used frozen strawberries. You may also do it. Defrost berries and mix them with sugar. Put this pan on the fire. Wait until it boils and then turn down the fire. Cook it for 15 more minutes.
  8. Mash this hot mass. If you are satisfied with the result, you may leave everything at this stage. However, if you want to have perfect smooth mass, rub it through the sieve. Then leave it to cool down.
  9. Whip cream cheese for 2-3 minutes with a mixer. Then add mashed berries into the bowl and continue whipping until smooth.
  10. Now you have yummy strawberry cream.
  11. Unroll your sponge cake and cover it with cream. Then roll it again.
  12. In order to decorate this roll, melt dark chocolate and lubricate your pastry with it. You may also dust it with sugar powder. When everything is ready, put this roll into the fridge.
  13. You may serve this dessert in an hour.
