Potato with Cheese in the Oven


Baked potato with cheese is simple meal, even a newbie can cook. This hot dish tastes great in combination with any other dish you like. I recommend you to use long potatoes. It`s easier to cut it. If you like you may add mushrooms or tomatoes to the list of main ingredients. But don`t forget about lard or bacon. Otherwise the dish will be to dry.

  1. Wash and peel potatoes. Dry them using a kitchen towel. Peel bacon or lard.
  2. Cut bacon and 0.5 cheese into thin slices.
  3. Cut potatoes, forming holes.
  4. Fill potatoes with bacon and cheese slices. Salt and pepper everything. Cover the tray with the tinfoil. Put potatoes on the top of it.
  5. Bake everything for 40-45 minutes at 356-392 degrees. Potato should be really soft at the end.
  6. Meanwhile you need to grate the rest of the cheese and chop parsley. Mash garlic and mix it with mayonnaise or sour cream.
  7. Take the tray out of the oven. Cover each potato with the garlic sauce and dust it with grated cheese.
  8. Put the tray back into the oven and wait for 5-6 minutes before the cheese melts.

Decorate this dish with parsley or simply put it on the plate before serving. Bon Appetite!
