  1. Frankly speaking, pickling beets isn't that easy. First, you need to remove the greens from beet roots. Do not get rid of them! You can use them for cooking interesting and unusual dishes later. Wash the beets carefully using a brush. Do not peel them. Otherwise, they will lose their color after boiling.
  2. It is necessary to boil beets before pickling them. Put them into a saucepan and add water. Beet roots should be covered with the liquid. Bring it to boil. Leave the vegetables to simmer for 30-40 minutes. The cooking time depends on the size of the beets! You can check whether they are ready using a fork.
