Instructions:
  1. Prepare beans beforehand. We recommend using dry navy beans. Get rid of damaged beans for your soup to look better.
  2. Wash them carefully and add into the pan with water. Bring the liquid to boil. Wait for 3 minutes.
  3. Remove the pan from the oven and set it aside. Let the beans soak for about 3 hours.
  4. Now put the pan on the oven again and add shredded ham. If you want, you can add more ham.
  5. Add vegetables to the pan. Chop celery, onions, carrots and potatoes. Add them into the pan together with bay leaves.
  6. Add salt and pepper to your soup to taste. If you want, you can add more vegetable broth for the dish to be less thick.
  7. Cook everything for 30 more minutes. All the vegetables should become soft and tender.

 Serve this quick navy bean soup with cornbread, tortillas or croutons. This dish should be eaten warm or hot.
