Marinated Norwegian Style Trout

Fresh Norwegian fish is the source of vitamins and minerals. You may cook it at home. Even those who do not like fish will eat this meal with pleasure.

Instructions:
  1. Peel fish, get rid of skin and cut fillet into cubes. Peel onion and cut it into thin circles. Cook marinade. Boil water in the big pan. Add onion, anis, sugar, salt, bay leaf, vinegar, rosemary and pepper. Boil it one more time and cook for 3 minutes. Sieve this liquid and leave it to cool down for several minutes.
  2. Put fish cubes into the wide bowl and cover with this marinade. Leave it for an hour.
  3. Put bread into the dry pan and fry it from both sides. Take fish cubes out of the bowl and get rid of extra marinade. Put it on the slices of bread together with mustard.

You may use any other red fish instead of the trout. However, if you choose cod, remember that it`s too dry and add 1 tbsp. of oil into the bowl with marinade. Bon Appetite!
