Marinated Mozzarella


When I tried this snack at the cocktail party for the first time, I couldn`t stop eating it. It`s spicy and soft. You may eat it as a snack or combine with vegetable salads. If you like lemons, you`ll enjoy the citrus zest of this snack. Cook it together with us, it`s Very Tasty!

  1. First of all you need to cut mozzarella cheese into thin slices. If you do not have special knife, use the one for cutting bread. The form and size of cheese doesn`t matter. You`ll cut it into small squares. The size depends on your taste. Put this cheese into the bowl.
  2. Now you need to work with herbs. Chop mint and basil leaves. I suggest not to use dry herbs as they won`t give this special aroma and taste.
  3. Cut one clove of garlic into half-circles as well as chilli pepper. Get rid of seeds not to spoil the taste of dish.
  4. Squeeze juice of a half of the lemon. Get rid of pits. You`ll need 0,5 tsp of juice.
  5. Prepare olive oil as well.
  6. Now put all the ingredients into the jar for marinating cheese. First, cover the bottom with chopped mint and basil. Then cover this layer with garlic and pepper. Slowly add cut cheese into the jar. Sprinkle everything with the lemon juice. Pour olive oil into the jar. It`s important for the cheese to be covered with oil.
  7. Cover this jar with the lid and mix all the ingredients. Put this jar into the fridge for 1-2 days.

This cheese tastes great. It`s really easy to cook at home. One more important thing is that this marinade is healthy. You can serve this cheese as a snack or use it to cook delicious salads. This cheese may be kept in the fridge for 2-3 weeks if you close the lid tight. Enjoy your meal with Very Tasty!
