Italian Meatballs with Classical Tomato Sauce

Instructions:
  1. Peel garlic and onion and cut them. Fry them for several minutes in the pan with the olive oil.
  2. Put the half of these vegetables. into the bowl with minced meat
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce into the pan with the rest of veggies and stew everything for several minutes.
  4. Chopped canned tomatoes and add them into the pan as well. Stew everything for 30 minutes. Do not cover the pan with the lid! The liquid will disappear and the sauce will become thicker. Add slat, pepper and sugar. You may also add dry thyme if you like.
  5. Meanwhile you may cook yummy meatballs.
  6. Add egg, breadcrumbs, chopped herbs and grated cheese into the bowl with minced meat, onion and garlic. Add thyme, salt and pepper and mix this “dough”.
  7. Form small rolls.
  8. Fry them in the pan with the oil from both sides.
  9. When your meatballs are ready, put them into the pan with tomato sauce, cover it with the lid and leave everything for 2 minutes.

You may serve these classical meatballs with Italian spaghetti. Bon Appetite!
