  1. First, make the hearty sauce. Take a large pot and add ground beef, chopped onion and mashed garlic into it. Stir everything and cook until meat is half-done. Add fresh basil, red sliced pepper and spices. Chop tomatoes and add them into the pot as well together with tomato sauce and wine. Mix everything one more time. Simmer this sauce on a low heat for 1-2 hours.
  2. Mix ricotta cheese with the egg and the rest of the spices. If you like, you can add a cup of Parmesan as well. Leave it in the fridge for 10-20 minutes.
  3. Take a baking tray and place the lasagne sheets at the bottom of it. It should already be prepared. Preheat the oven to 375 F.
  4. Now you can get down to forming the lasagne. Cover the first layer of the sheets with the cheese and the hearty sauce. Repeat the same steps until there are no more ingredients left. Cover the top of the lasagne with cheese.
  5. Cover a baking tray with tinfoil and bake your dish for 45 minutes. Open the tinfoil and continue cooking the dish for five more minutes.

  •         Even vegetarians can eat this dish. The only thing you need to do is to replace meat with chopped vegetables. We recommend you use zucchini, mushrooms, eggplant, etc.;
  •         Add more fresh herbs to make the dish tastier and brighter. It’s always a good idea to chop more thyme, rosemary or oregano into the bowl with the sauce;
