Instructions:
  1. Cooking beef Hungarian goulash in pressure cooker is very easy. Add soft butter and vegetable oil into the bowl of the instant pot. In 2-3 minutes, add beef cubes into the pot. Dust meat with salt.
  2. Cook beef for about three minutes in the pot, covered with the lid. It will become light brown and softer. Now you can divide the meat into two portions. Leave one part of meat in the instant pot. Transfer the leftovers to the bowl. Cook it for 3 more minutes.
  3. Chop onion and add it to the pot. Add more salt if needed. Cook until the veggies are soft and tender as well.
  4. Add the rest of the beef into the pot. Add red sweet paprika and stir everything carefully. Add canned mashed tomatoes and pour in beef broth.
  5. Wait for 15 minutes until your pressure cooker meal is ready. When the dish is ready, do not open the lid. Leave everything in the instant pot for 20 minutes. This way the meat will become soft and fragrant.

This Hungarian meal is easy to cook when you have an instant pot in your kitchen. Serve it immediately with long light noodles and a portion of cold sour cream.
