Instructions:
  1. Cut bacon into small pieces. Put the bacon into the pan. Heat it slowly.
  2. When the bacon is fried, take it out of the pan. Put the slices on a plate.
  3. Add slices of carrot to the same pan.
  4. Peel the onion and chop it. Add the onion into the pan with the carrot and continue to cook gently. Use small amounts of the two vegetables, in order not to turn this meal into a smooth carrot/onion soup. The main star of the dish is still the potato.
  5. Peel the potatoes and cut them into big cubes. Add the vegetable into the same pan.
  6. Continue cooking the vegetables for 5 more minutes.
  7. Add chicken or vegetable broth and boil everything together.
  8. Take a separate bowl and mix milk with the flour in it.
  9. Add this white mass into the pan with the soup, while stirring with a spoon.
  10. After that, add salt and pepper. Boil everything one more time. Take the pan off the fire and mash all the ingredients using a powerful blender. Depending on your preference, you can make the soup completely smooth and creamy. Add cream into the pan. Mix everything one more time and put the pan back on the stove. Bring the soup to the boil and then turn off the stove.

Serve this delicious dish on separate plates. Don’t forget to decorate each portion with the slices of bacon and grated cheese.
