How to Cook Perfect Greek Salad

If you order Greek salad in Greece, people will not understand you. The thing is that on its motherland its famous as Country salad. Still, no matter how you call it, this fresh dish is still very yummy.
There is no particular recipe and a lot of variations of one and the same dish. Professional cooks do not care about proportions. They just combine bright green (cucumbers), red (tomatoes), white (cheese), violet (onion) ingredients. Black olives improve the picture.
In many countries people add red bell pepper, salad leaves, garlic or even zucchini. You may experiment with the recipe as well. However the tastiest dish is the classical one.

For cooking classical salad, you`ll need to peel cucumbers and cut them into big pieces.
Choose fresh and bright tomatoes. They should definitely have rich taste and fragrant. Cut them into big pieces as well. If you use tasteless tomatoes from the nearest supermarket, you can break this rule and chop vegetables into tiny cubes.
