Instructions:
  1. Put a large pan on the heat and sprinkle the bottom of it with oil. Heat it for half a minute. Add ground beef and cook it slowly over medium heat until the meat is golden-brown. It will take about 5 minutes.
  2. Slice red onion and red bell pepper. Toss it with the salt and chili powder. Mexican dishes should always be spicy, but if you do not like hot dishes, use less chili powder or skip it. Add everything into the pan with the half-cooked beef.
  3. Next step is adding water, rice and tomato sauce. You can replace water with the broth and use fresh tomato puree instead of the sauce. Cover the pan with the lid. Reduce the heat.
  4. Continue cooking the dish and don’t forget to simmer it. When your quick dinner is almost ready, turn off the heat and add canned peas and corn. Wait for three more minutes and remove your pan from the heat.
