Green Asparagus with Cheese


For a long time I didn`t know how to cook asparagus. Still, I always wanted to taste it. Once I decided to buy one beam of asparagus in the supermarket and boil it. It was the easiest way of cooking. I needed only to cut the edges, boil water and add these vegetables into the pan. It takes 4 minutes to cook it. Then you need to strain asparagus and wash with cold water. I served this vegetable with Holland sauce. My whole family liked this dish. It tastes like beans or peas.
When I understood that this vegetable is yummy, I decided to bake it with Parmesan. I liked this variant even more and now I want to share it with you. If you don`t have Parmesan in your fridge, replace it with another cheese.

  1. Preheat the oven to 464 degrees.
  2. Grate the cheese.
  3. Wash asparagus. The bottom of it should be cut off. It`s white and hard.
  4. Cover the tray with tinfoil and put your asparagus on it.
  5. Pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil on green veggies; pepper and salt them.
  6. Mix them well for the vegetables to be covered with oil and spices.
  7. Then make one thin layer and cover your asparagus with cheese.
  8. Bake at 464 degrees for 8-10 minutes. As a result, your cheese should be golden-brown.

Serve this dish hot. Even vegetarians may eat it. That`s why you may use this recipe to surprise your close people or friends who do not eat meat.
