These fried pies have a lot of in common with classical Azerbaijan pastry. They are very yummy. It is an easy recipe. All you need to cook fried pies is water, flour and salt. Therefore, they taste amazing. So, if you try to cook it for the first time, you`ll be eager to make this delicacy again and again.

Instructions:
  1. Mix salt and water in the bowl. It doesn`t matter whether the water is warm or cold.
  2. Add vegetable oil.
  3. Sift the flour through the sieve.
  4. Mix the dough, cover it with plastic wrap and hide it into the fridge for 1 hour. If you do not have much free time, you may skip this step and do not put the dough into cold place.
  5. Grate hard cheese on the coarse grater.
  6. Wash greens, dry and chop.
  7. Now add spices. You may use any spices and herbs you like.
  8. Melt piece of butter beforehand. Add warm butter into the bowl. Keep in mind that it should be cold when you mix it with the rest of ingredients.
  9. Mix everything carefully. Our stuffing is ready!
  10. Divide the dough into several pieces.
  11. Flatten each piece.
  12. Fill them with the stuffing.
  13. Form pies.
  14. Poll them in order for the pies to be flat.
  15. I prefer to fry these pies on the dry pan. Still, you may add vegetable oil. I do not recommend using butter. In this case they`ll burn.
  16. Fry these pies from both sides until there is crunchy crust. As I do not use butter while frying, I use it to lubricate pies when they are ready.
  17. That`s it, our dish is ready.

You may serve it hot or cold. By the way, if you do not like the type of stuffing suggested, you may fill them with meat or veggies. Bon appetite!
