Instructions:
  1. Wash the clams and scrub them carefully. Fill the pan with water mixed with light chicken broth. Add peeled garlic cloves and bring the liquid to a boil. Add 1/3 of the clams to the pan. Cook everything for about 5 minutes.
  2. Drain your clams, checking whether they are ready.
  3. Now you can get down to the next step. Add oil into the pan. Transfer thin slices of bacon into it. Cook everything until the bacon is crispy enough.
  4. Take the bacon out of the pan and put it on the plate, covered with a paper towel.
  5. Add chopped onion and celery into the pan with the leftovers of the fat. Cook the veggies until they are soft. Next, you’ll need to add flour. Cook everything for 1 more minute.
  6. Cut the potatoes into thin slices and add them into the pan as well. This vegetable will make your white clam chowder more nutritious.
  7. Pour in healthy chicken broth and all the spices. Mix everything carefully. Cook everything for 10-20 minutes.
  8. Add clams and mix everything one more time. Cook your dish for 5 more minutes.
  9. Taste this clam chowder and add salt and pepper to taste.
