Instructions:
  1. To begin with, preheat the frying pan with the oil. Add chopped onions and cook them until they are soft enough. Salt everything to taste. Grate one middle-sized carrot on the dig grater. Add it to the pan as well and cook for additional 3-4 minutes.
  2. Boil 2 middle-sized potatoes until they are soft. Chill them and mash carefully.
  3. Open the can with tuna and mash it carefully. Mix it with mashed potatoes.
  4. Mix everything one more time and transfer to the pan with onion. Sauté everything for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Now take the pan from heat and leave everything to cool down.
  6. Cook the topping to make your patties crunchy. Whisk an egg and add breadcrumbs to the empty plate.
  7. Form little patties. Press each one carefully to flatten it. Continue until all the fish mixture is gone.
  8. Dip each patty into the bowl with whisked egg and than into the plate with breadcrumbs. Patty should be well covered with the toppings. Transfer plate with the patties to the fridge and leave to cool down for an hour.
  9. Now you can fry them in the preheated pan. Cook each patty for 4-6 minutes from both sides. It will turn golden and crispy.

Serve patties with your favorite sauce and fresh salad. If you want to make your meal more nutritious. Add some garnish to your taste.

  •         If you like, you can prepare patties for advance. Form them, cover with the layer of toppings and leave in the fridge for 1-2 days. You can also freeze them at this stage. They can be left in the freezer for 3-4 weeks.
