  1. Peel the onion and cut it into big pieces. This way, the corned beef won't burn. Fill the bowl of the slow cooker with the chopped onion.
  2. Add beef brisk and all the spices you like. Pour water into the bowl. It should cover the beef. Now it’s time to add bay leaves and fresh garlic.
  3. Actually, you’ve done all the work. Leave the meat in the slow cooker for about 9 hours.
  4. In 3 hours you need to add the rest of the vegetables. Peel the carrots and potatoes. Cut the vegetables into big cubes and add them into the bowl. It’s important to use big pieces of the vegetables, so that they do not turn into unpleasant mash. Add chopped cabbage into the slow cooker as well.
  5. After 9 hours of cooking your beef will become perfectly tender. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
