  1. To make this appetizer quickly, preheat the oven beforehand. Heat it to 450 F. Cover a baking tray with a layer of baking paper.
  2. Cut tomatoes into thin slices. We recommend using ripe tomatoes. If you want to make this appetizer brighter, mix red and yellow tomatoes. Put them into the bowl together with salt, slices of onion, chopped basil and minced garlic. Leave everything for 10-20 minutes to marinate. This way your topping will be very fragrant.
  3. Cut French bread into thin slices. Cover them carefully with the olive oil.
  4. Put the slices of bread on the tray. Bake them for 5-10 minutes. They should become crispy and light-golden.
  5. Transfer them to a plate.
  6. Drain off the liquid from the bowl with tomatoes. If you want, you can add more garlic and salt.
  7. Cover each slice of bread with this tomato topping. Sprinkle each snack with the balsamic vinegar.

Serve this easy appetizer immediately. If you do not serve it promptly, the layer of bread will be soaked with tomato juice and the taste of the dish will be spoiled.
