Chinese Rice Fried with the Seafood


Chinese cuisine is famous all over the world. Yellow rice with shrimp is one  Asian dish, you should definitely try to cook at home. Easy fried rice can become your favorite dinner or lunch.

  1. To begin with, cook rice. Boil it in salty water until it’s ready. Strain the water. There should be no extra liquid at all!
  2. Now prepare the shrimp. Put the packs with them into a bowl with the cold water. They will slowly melt, yet the taste of the dish won’t be spoiled. Unpack them and wash. Get rid of the tails and the rest of the useless stuff.
  3. Find a sharp knife. Peel the ginger and garlic. Do the same with the onion and pepper. Wash the vegetables well. Wipe them, using paper towels. Put all the ingredients on the cutting board. Chop them. You can cut the vegetables into strips or cubes. Put all the vegetables and herbs into separate bowls.
  4. Break eggs. Whip them using a fork. Do not work with the egg mass for too long.
  5. Preheat a big frying pan with the sesame oil. Heat the pan for several minutes. Then you’ll need to add slices of carrot into the pan. Cook it for 3-4 minutes. Then add red bell pepper and green peas into the pan. Cook these vegetables for 1 more minute. Finally, add garlic and ginger and fry the mixture of the ingredients for 4-5 minutes.
  6. Form a hole in the middle of the bowl of rice. Pour the whipped eggs into it. Now dust the dish with the sugar and add sauces. Mix everything carefully and cook for 2 minutes.
  7. Take the pan off the fire and cover it with the lid. Leave it for 4-5 minutes. Now you can serve this dish. Don’t forget to decorate each portion with the fresh herbs.

This fried rice recipe is rather nutritious. Still, you can serve it with the portion if the salad or with spicy pasta. Enjoy this homemade Chinese dish.

  • If you cannot find sesame oil, you can replace it with any other vegetable oil;
