However, I prefer to use cherry. This pie reminds me of “Twin Peaks Cherry Pie”. If you want to make this dish more fragrant, use cinnamon and vanilla. You`ll love the aroma of this dessert!

Instructions:
  1. Make the dough. Cut cold butter into cubes. Mix them with the flour, salt and 4 tablespoons of sugar.
  2. Turn this mass into crumbs. Mix soda with one teaspoon of lemon juice. Add it into the bowl with the rest of ingredients. Mix everything carefully.
  3. Pour cold water into the bowl and make the dough. Divide it into 2 balls. One of them should be bigger than another . Cover them with plastic wrap and put into the fridge for an hour.
  4. Mix boiled water and sugar. Add cherry and boil everything for 5 minutes. Take a separate bowl and mix starch with water in it. Pour this mixture into the pan as soon as the syrup boils. Cook everything for 10 more minutes. Then leave this liquid to cool down.
  5. Take bigger part of the dough and roll it. Cover baking form with the tinfoil. Put the dough into it, forming the edges.
  6. Lubricate the bottom with whipped egg. Put cherries into it. Flatten 2d part of the dough. Cut it into thin long slices and place them on the top of the pie. Form the grid. Lubricate the surface of the pie with whipped egg and dust with the sugar.
  7. Bake this pie at 356 degrees for 45 minutes.
