Baked Cheese Balls


These cheese balls are very popular in France. This is the combination of cheese and dough. Yummy snack reminds of éclairs a bit. They taste great with wine.
It`s recommended to eat these balls hot and supplement them with different sauces. Don`t worry if you do something wrong and these cheese balls aren`t that great. The taste won`t be spoiled.   1. Preheat the oven to 428 degrees. Cover the tray with baking paper.
  2. Boil water in the pan. Cut butter into the cubes. Put it into the bowl with water. Wait until it melts; salt and pepper the liquid. Do not take it off the fire.
  3. Add flour into the pan with hot water and mix this mass until it becomes smooth. Then take the pan off the fire and leave it to cool down.
  4. Add eggs and mix everything quickly. There will be lumps. Therefore, you need to make it smooth using mixer.
  5. Add ¾ of cheese and onion. Mix everything once again.
  6. Use pastry bag to form cheese balls. If there is no pastry bag at home, you may use a spoon to form these balls.
  7. Cover them with the rest of grated cheese. Put these balls into the oven and bake them for 10 minutes at 374 degrees. Then turn down the fire and cook your snack for 25 more minutes until they become golden. In order to make them more crunchy, cut each ball with the knife before taking the tray out of the oven.
