Authentic Italian Ravioli


Ravioli is a type of Italian dumplings. The difference is that for cooking the dish you need to use eggs while cooking the dough. As for the stuffing, you may use meat, fish, poultry, vegetables or even fruits. I will share with you the recipe of authentic ravioli with the mixture of beef and pork.   1. Prepare the dough and minced meat.
  2. Sift the flour through the sieve. Form a hole in it and fill it with eggs, salt and oil.
  3. Make thick dough. If you need, you may add more flour. Put the dough into the pack and leave it for 30-40 minutes. It will become softer and malleable.
  4. Now you need to cook minced meat. Put pork and beef into the meat grinder. Add chopped onion, salt, spices and several tablespoons of water. Mix everything well, using your hands.
  5. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts. Flatten it. The dough should be about 0,06 inches.
  6. Use a teaspoon to put rows of minced meat.
  7. Flatten the second layer of dough and cover meat with it. Form a grind, using the edge of your hand.
  8. Cut all the dough into squares. If you use wavy knife, your ravioli will look better.
  9. Press the edges with a fork.
  10. Boil water, salt it. Cook them for 5-7 minutes.

Serve ravioli with butter and chopped herbs. You may also add sour cream, mayonnaise or your favorite sauce. Bon Appetite!
