  1. Start baking your homemade red velvet cake. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Lubricate a baking tray with butter. Dust it with a thin layer of cocoa powder.
  2. Combine the dry ingredients in the bowl and whisk them carefully.
  3. Take another bowl and mix sugar with butter in it. Add eggs one by one and continue beating.
  4. Now it’s time to make the dough brighter. Add vinegar, oil, buttermilk, vanilla and red food dye into the bowl.
  5. Combine the dry and creamy ingredients. Make sure that the dough is very tender and there are no lumps. But be careful not to overmix it!
  6. Divide all this mass and fill a baking tray with it. Bake everything for 30 minutes. Then turn off the heat and leave the baking tray in the oven for 10 more minutes.
  7. Now it’s time to bake the red velvet cake cream with butter. Mix cream cheese (we recommend using Philadelphia), butter and vanilla. Beat this mass for 3 minutes. The cream should be tender and smooth. Add sugar powder and continue beating everything for 2 more minutes. If you like sweet desserts, add more sugar powder.
